Install and Use the CloudUpload Utility
You can install the CloudUpload utility on your PC to easily and automatically archive files to Cloud Cabinet.
The CloudUpload utility mirrors your Cloud Cabinet folder structure on your computer, enabling you to automatically and effortlessly archive important documents to Cloud Cabinet.
To archive a document to Cloud Cabinet using the CloudUpload utility, simply save the file to the correct folder on your desktop and the utility automatically uploads the file to the corresponding folder in Cloud Cabinet.
To set up and use the CloudUpload utility:
1. Select Cloud Upload from the Navigation panel in Cloud Cabinet to open the Cloud Upload screen.
2. Click the Install link and run the installation to install the CloudUpload utility on your PC.
3. Log in to the utility from the Login pop-up dialog using the same Firm Name, User Name, and Password you use to log in to Cloud Cabinet.
The utility Settings interface opens, with the Folders tab displayed by default.
4. Select the Cloud Cabinet folders to create on your computer from the list (or click All) and click Mirror Client Folders to replicate the folders on your computer.
The system creates a CloudUpload folder, with the specified subfolders, on your computer, under your Documents folder.
A Local indicator appears next to the folders the utility has mirrored on your computer.
Note: The Mirror Client Folders function overwrites existing folders in the CloudUpload folder. If you add new client folders to the existing folders on your computer, be sure to click the Local option in the Select field to select all of your existing folders, and then select the new client folder to mirror.
5. Click View Client Folders to review the folders created by the utility on your computer.
You can save files to any folder in the CloudUpload folder structure on your computer, either by saving the file directly to the appropriate folder or by dragging and dropping the file into the folder.
The utility then automatically archives the file to the corresponding folder in Cloud Cabinet and notifies you when the file is uploaded.
6. Click View Log to open and review the Upload Log that provides information about all of the files uploaded to Cloud Cabinet.
Note:
The installation also places an icon in the system tray on your taskbar.
You can right-click this icon and, from the pop-up menu, select options
that enable you to View Client Folders,
open the Settings interface, or
review the Upload Log, In addition,
from this pop-up menu, you can log out or exit the utility, or click Pause Sync to temporarily suspend
folder synchronization.
7. (Optional) Click System in the Settings interface to review and change the system settings for the utility.
